In 1947 Bette moved to Burbank, CA, where she attended to the likes of Bing Crosby and Walt Disney (Disney gave her a sketch from the original Cinderella). Returning to MN, Bette married Don Lais in 1950 and had seven children. She was a master of efficiency, fairness, and helping to build people up. Bette loved to fish, stitch, and stay active. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Visitation Monday 4-8 PM at O'Halloran & Murphy, 575 S. Snelling Ave, St. Paul (651-698-0796), and one hour prior to Mass at church Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Tuesday, Sept. 20, at the Church of the Assumption, 51 West Seventh Street, St. Paul, MN 55101 (651-224- 7536). Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the caregivers from Presbyterian Homes, Lakeview. Memorials to Restless Legs Syndrome Foundation, Church of the Assumption, or donor's choice.
