WESTLAKE, Ohio - Bea Wentzel, 94 years young, passed away peacefully in Westlake, Ohio, Friday, July 29, 2011.

Born in Williams County, Ohio, August 4, 1916, to Clyde and Onnie (Lash) Bunce, she was a graduate of Edon, Ohio High School, and Lansing, Michigan Business College. She married Adrian (Bud) Wentzel of the Michigan State Police. They celebrated their Golden Wedding in August 1986, prior to his death in February, 1987. They had one son, William.

She was Postmaster at Big Bay, Mich., for 17 years. She was a Deacon Emeritus at the Big Bay Presbyterian Church where she was also a member, and was Historian at River Ranch Chapel in Florida where she was an Associate Member.

Beatrice served as a Volunteer Librarian at Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay for 15 plus years.

She was a Life Member of the Presque Isle Chapter #403 Order of Eastern Star, a member of the National League of Postmasters, and a Charter Member of the Powell Township Seniors.

Preceding her in death was her Husband, her Parents, her only sister Belva Bunce and her son Bill. She is survived by a Grand daughter, Amy (Ronald) Koenig; Two Great Grand children, Ashleigh and Ian Koenig; Daughter-In-Law, Shirley Wentzel, a Step-Daughter Beverly Nieusma of Saugatuck, Mi, three Step Grandchildren, and several Step Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be announced at a later date and will take place at the Big Bay Presbyterian Church and burial in the Big Bay Cemetery. The Fassbender Funeral Home is serving the Family where condolences may be expressed online at www.fassbenderfuneralhome.com.
