Deceased

"Chris was a beloved camper for 12 summers (1999-2009). He was both a proud and humble Unit V camper, and an enthusiastic member of the teen program. Chris was a wonderful boy, full of joy and wonder, and a thousand questions...and we loved him for it. Chris climbed the highest mountain and sang his heart out for all of us. We will especially remember Chris for his smile, his kindness to others, and his love of life. Chris was a blessing to all of us and he will forever be in our hearts here at Bay Cliff." -- From the 2010 Yearbook Dedication.

Christopher Silva passed away on Friday January 1, 2010 at his home in Kincheloe, Michigan. Born on November 24, 1991, Chris enjoyed spending time at Bay Cliff Health Camp since he was 5 years old. He was an honorary member of the Army National Guard and volunteered at Tendercare Nursing Home. Christopher always thought of others first, was flawless with a very positive attitude. He enjoyed spending time with his sisters, listening to Shania Twain and spending time in the garage with the guys; and a special thanks to Marilyn Burton for the laptop.

I miss you now more than ever before. But I trust that God will open a door and show me How to go on without you to give me some hope and comfort too. For you were my life And I loved you so dear and it breaks my heart to not have you near. But, life goes on and I will too I just wish it wouldn’t go on without you…. All my love MOM.
